Hours of work: 9AM to 5PM, Monday to Friday.
The Learning & Development dept. has an immediate vacancy for an “Operations Trainer” in our FTN Richmond office.
•Develops/conducts/maintains courses, materials with regards to - Technical skills/procedures, cust. serv., quality improvement. Associate empowerment, and an overview of FTN T&B services and operations
•Consults with dept. mgrs and supv. to assess training needs that facilitate the development of appropriate materials for classroom and on the job skills training
•Develops methods to measure the effectiveness of training prgm and modifies the materials to ensure that training prgm are continuously improving
•Develops/maintains a syllabus of training courses available to all FTN service locations
•Develops/maintains ops reference manuals and educational materials
•In cooperation with HR, maintains records of training and participation, and works with Mgrs to coordinate training schedule
•Ensures that materials are up-to-date with all of the various regulatory agencies
•Provides mgmt with clear training objectives that ensures FTN has provided training for all staff in needed areas
•Consults with other ops L&D splst to evaluate/continually improve courses, methods
•Completes special projects as assigned by the Mgr
•Bachelor's degree in business/education/related field. Two yr of corporate training experience preferred
•One yr in development and delivery preferred
•Good working knowledge of FTN & computer systems
•Proven computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
•Multimedia/web-design experience preferred
•Proven oral and written communication skills
•Knowledge of import, export, ocean/air transportation, surface transportation, warehousing/distribution, brokerage processes
•Time mgmt/project mgmt skills preferred
•Ability to work independently + as a team leader•Travel required.
