FedEx Logistics-Canada, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Managing Director, Sales.

This position is responsible for selecting, training, motivating and developing a subordinate staff of sales managers and support personnel.This position will also be responsible for:

Administering an annual operating budget and ensuring attainment of annual revenue goals 

Reviewing and evaluating all assigned/targeted revenue generating activities, in relation to revenue goals and budgets 

Developing performance statements and databases, thereby improving measurement systems and motivation of the entire work group

Working with FedEx sales globally (services, express, etc. as appropriate) to analyze, develop, and implement special revenue generating programs (bundling)

Working with compensation to develop bonus plans

Conducting regular communication sessions with global operations management teams

Performing quality control functions by ensuring that total product quality is commensurate with corporate standards and customer expectations

Ensuring follow-up to promotional programs such as new product introduction, etc.

Ensuring yield management meets corporate objectives

Developing strategic programs to lower costs through targeted selling of certain services and trade lanes

Working with FedEx Logistics agents and service providers and global route development in support of FedEx Logistics revenue goals


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with over 10 years of significant business development and revenue generation experience in the freight forwarding, customs brokerage& logistics industries

Minimum 5 years of significant management experience with demonstrable success in a senior position

Excellent communication, organization, listening and presentation skills

Experience in recruiting and building an organization

Visionary leadership and excellent human relations and communication skills

Strong organization, analytical, and problem solving skills
